Traffic Ads

Hey Friends! ๐Ÿ’• While we are an ad agency service provider, I know that hiring us is not always accessible to everyone - so you might be running your own ads. Which we love, but I often see tips/ suggestions/ ideas floating around that are not useful.

You might even score a call with a "Meta Expert" who will give you some tips and those calls can be great when you're starting out! However, they don't always understand the big picture of an e-commerce.

๐ŸŽ So I come to you today with a gift!

One tip I see floating around a lot is to run traffic ads because it is recommended that you build up traffic to your pixel. However, this is TERRIBLE advice!

Hereโ€™s why - when you set up a campaign to ONLY drive traffic to your website, it will ONLY drive clicks to your website. The person clicking the link wonโ€™t even be on the page long enough for it to load, let alone make a purchase.

This is a giant waste of your money! Instead, we are big fans of spending money to get what you want from ads - SALES!!!

I had Meta pull a report for us today comparing one of our clients ad spend to all e-commerce brands that advertise apparel/ accessories in Q4 of 2023.

You can see that out of our clients entire budget, we spent less than 1% on consideration, which I will tell you - was NOT on traffic. It was on page engagement, which was a new strategy we were testing out. Also not something I recommend doing unless you have an over arching strategy to support that spend allocation.

99% of our budget was spent on conversions! Alongside that you can see that the rest of the e-commerce world is also spending the majority of their budget on CONVERSIONS! ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ

If youโ€™re not working with an agency and have a limited budget, do not waste it on traffic babes! Go straight for the jugular and ask Facebook for what you want - SALES!!! ๐Ÿคฉ

I know a lot of this might be a lot to digest, but weโ€™re always here for questions even if weโ€™re not running your ads. xo
