Get Verified

Once a year, in order to make use of FB/ IG checkout and to maintain an active shop on FB/ IG, FB asks you to verify your business within your Commerce Manager.

This MUST be done and not ignored! If you do not complete this process, your shop will remain hidden until you’re verified.

This is also something we cannot complete for you, as it requires 2 Factor Authentication of your business email and phone number.

We’ve had a lot of people struggle to complete the verification lately so wanted to provide some helpful tips that should expedite the process.

Throughout this process, they will require official documents to verify your business name, address and Tax ID number. You can read a list of the accepted documents here.

The business name and address you submit MUST match the documents you upload EXACTLY.

  • When I say exactly, there are NO exceptions.

Example: My business is Elevated E-Commerce LLC

Address: 1234 Main Street Philadelphia, PA 19148

  • This is how it is represented through the state of PA, how I file my taxes and how I registered for my EIN

  • This is exactly how the information needs to appear on every single document I upload.

  • It cannot stay:

    • 1234 Main St Philadelphia, PA 19148

      • Did you spot the difference? 😉

    • Or simply Elevated E-Commerce

      • Without the LLC at the end

Another example: If your business is Danielle Fewings LLC DBA Elevated E-Commerce, you cannot submit one document that says Elevated E-Commerce LLC and another that says Danielle Fewings LLC DBA Elevated E-Commerce

  • All the documents you need to submit need to say: Danielle Fewings LLC DBA Elevated E-Commerce

Through this verification FB is attempting to validate the validity of your business name, tax ID and address and they will require 2 documents to do so.

  • PLEASE READ WHAT DOCUMENTS THEY ARE ASKING FOR because depending on what they are able to pull from their query with the state during the verification process, the documents required will change.

  • However, having these documents on hand will speed up the process:

    • Articles of organization

    • IRS SS-4 (this is the EIN registration letter), scroll down to the middle of this page for an example

    • Utility Bill

    • Bank Statement

  • Again, the name and address on these documents MUST MATCH EXACTLY.
