Facebook Dynamic Ads

Facebook has several types of Facebook ads, however the one I’d like to focus on in this post is Dynamic. These are my absolute favorite ads because they are SUPER effective and use all that juicy data that Facebook as been collecting on people through the years.

A dynamic ad imports your entire product catalog into Facebook and selects the item the person viewing the ad is MOST likely to purchase.

Have you ever searched for something on any website ever then all of a sudden your IG feed is blowing up with versions of that item? This is exactly how dynamic ads work.

For example: Facebook knows you were on Nordstrom.com browsing for white Chelsea boots, so if you are in the audience of a boutique that has white Chelsea boots and a dynamic ad running, you will likely be served an ad picturing white Chelsea boots.

These ads are HIGHLY effective because they are showing you items you already have an interest in purchasing! The big key however, is making sure that your product description is full of enough keywords that align with things your ideal customer is searching for. Think white boots, run true to size vs Vegan Leather, Snow White, Chelsea Boot, weatherproof, etc. Those key words are going to pair nicely with the things people are specifically searching for and boom your ad will show them exactly what they want to buy.

As for what it costs to run a dynamic ad - that depends on who we are targeting, which can be discussed on a consultation call. However, I always have them running to both cold (people that have never interacted with your business) and warm audiences (people who have engaged on any level with your business).

Let’s look at some examples:

This dynamic ad is geared towards our cold audience and we are trying to loop them in with our welcome offer discount code. In this case, if Facebook had data points on me that showed I was interested in rhinestone shorts, this is likely the product I would be shown!

Here are the results of the last 30 days this ad has been running.

Dates Active: 06/19/22 - 07/18/22
Total ad spend: $114
Purchase Revenue: $1,639
*ROAS: 14.37x
Number of purchases: 32
Average order value: $28

*ROAS: return on ad spend, for every $1 spent, this is how much you get back
